EMDR Intensives

Personalized therapy experiences. 4-hour, 1-day, and 2-day formats available. Find relief & experience change…fast.

Is traditional therapy just not cutting it anymore?

You’ve done the work. You’ve learned the skills. But something is still holding you back.

You don’t have the time to devote to weekly therapy sessions

Intensives are ideal for clients with busy schedules who want results quickly. It is a great way to get creative with scheduling and do therapy when it works for you. Instead of weekly therapy, you can do 4 hours, 1 day or 2 day sessions. Perfect for busy professionals—accelerate your healing without disrupting your life.

You’re seeking deeper, more concentrated healing

Get to the root of your triggers, shift limiting beliefs, and leave feeling lighter, calmer, and more empowered.

You’re in the right place.

EMDR intensives can help you accomplish in one session what may take months in traditional therapy.

What is an intensive?

An EMDR intensive is a condensed and focused form of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. It differs from traditional EMDR, which typically involves weekly sessions, by offering longer, more immersive sessions over a shorter period—often several hours a day for a few consecutive days.

This format is designed to help clients process traumatic experiences more efficiently and achieve significant therapeutic progress in a shorter timeframe.

1

Pre-Intensive Assessment

We will meet before the intensive (50-80 minutes) to talk about your treatment goals, the severity of your symptoms, and what format would be the best for you. The pre-intensives will help us build rapport and trust before the intensive.

2

Intensive
Session

We will meet for the pre-determined format of time (4 hours, 1 full day, or 2 full days). We will get to the deep processing, and blaze through the treatment plan with the gift of time!

3

Post-Intensive Follow-Up

We will schedule a follow-up call (50 minutes) a few weeks out after the intensive. Follow ups are a crucial part of the therapeutic process that ensures the gains made during the intensive are integrated into your daily life and that any residual issues are addressed.

Other intensive questions? I’ve got answers.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy is an integrative psychotherapy and uses a technique called bilateral stimulation to repeatedly activate opposite sides of the brain.

It’s kind of like organizing a messy closet—you’re not throwing the memory away, but you’re putting it somewhere that doesn’t get in your way all the time. Afterward, you might feel a lot better and not so upset by the memory anymore.

  • EMDR intensives are focused, condensed therapy sessions designed to target and resolve specific traumas or emotional blocks in a shorter timeframe, often spanning several hours or consecutive days… unlike regular therapy, which unfolds gradually over weekly sessions.

  • You might be a good fit for an EMDR intensive if you have a specific trauma or issue you'd like to address quickly, are emotionally stable enough for deep processing, and prefer a focused, time-efficient approach over traditional weekly therapy.

  • An EMDR therapy intensive can help with processing specific traumas, reducing symptoms of PTSD, addressing anxiety, or resolving stuck emotional patterns. It’s particularly effective for issues like traumatic memories, phobias, grief, or performance-related blocks. The intensive format allows for deeper, uninterrupted processing, leading to faster breakthroughs and emotional relief.

  • We will meet for an intake session before the intensive to discuss history, goals and coping skills.
